Guest guest
I want to do the Vit A protocol for my son and need some advice. 1st of all, is this the correct dosage? Day one - 400,000 iu Day two - 400,000 iu Then 10,000 iu for several days after Can I use Mycelized Vit A, or is there another form that's better? Has anyone seen side effects, physical or behavioral with this protocol? Naseau, tiredness???? Resurgence of latent viral symptoms? Is it best done over a school break or long weekend? Should I stop all other supps while doing this? Should I increase some? I assume I need to at least eliminate CLO for a few days. Does this protocol cause any YEAST issues? I must be very careful about yeast around here. We did not specifically have regression after MMR, but after a live flu virus (Flu mist) vacc. I do feel there's ongoing viral infection. Is Vit A a good idea for us? (my gut says yes) Lastly, we have ongoing concern about absence seizures, does anyone feel this protocol could cause onset of seizures? Thank you for sharing your experiences and any and all thoughts on this! Alisa
Guest guest
Both times I've tried the high dose vit A protocol it has resulted in seizures for my seizure prone daughter. > > I want to do the Vit A protocol for my son and need some advice. > > 1st of all, is this the correct dosage? > > Day one - 400,000 iu > Day two - 400,000 iu > Then 10,000 iu for several days after > > Can I use Mycelized Vit A, or is there another form that's better? > > Has anyone seen side effects, physical or behavioral with this protocol? Guest guest
> I want to do the Vit A protocol for my son and need some advice. Info, and my son's experience, is on this page http://www.danasview.net/vitamina.htm > 1st of all, is this the correct dosage? > Day one - 400,000 iu > Day two - 400,000 iu For children over 35 pounds, yes. > Then 10,000 iu for several days after If tolerated. Once my son was finished with high dose vitamin A protocol [i had to do it twice], he no longer tolerated any vitamin A without it causing toxicity. > Can I use Mycelized Vit A, or is there another form that's better? That one is fine. > Has anyone seen side effects, physical or behavioral with this protocol? Naseau, tiredness???? Resurgence of latent viral symptoms? Is it best done over a school break or long weekend? When my son's measles virus finally broke, it caused massive diarrhea that ran all the way up his back and down his legs. > Should I stop all other supps while doing this? No >>Should I increase some? Adding some vitamin D would be helpful. > I assume I need to at least eliminate CLO for a few days. No, count part of the 400,000 IU as the CLO dose you usually give. So if you are giving 5000 IU as CLO, give 395,000 IU as mycellized. The CLO would have vitamin D. > Does this protocol cause any YEAST issues? It can, altho it didn't at my house. > We did not specifically have regression after MMR, but after a live flu virus (Flu mist) vacc. I do feel there's ongoing viral infection. Is Vit A a good idea for us? (my gut says yes) My son required high doses of vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D, and lysine to eliminate all the viruses in his body. If you don't know for sure whether you need to do high dose vitamin A, try a few days at 50,000 IU, see what happens. > Lastly, we have ongoing concern about absence seizures, does anyone feel this protocol could cause onset of seizures? Almost anything, including anti-virals, can trigger seizures for children who are prone to seizures. Dana
