Hi,

We are hoping our daughter can attend a camp this summer that all special diet

foods have to be pre-made and frozen so the camper can nuke and go (kitchen

can't do separate cooking). Will this work with Tinkyada pasta? Any suggestions

on how to keep it from getting mushy or otherwise icky or tricks for other foods

would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Cook the pasta slightly less than al-dente. It will freeze better and reheat to

about the right consistency.

what about mince and rice. This mixes together Ok for freezing and

re-heating and if you put very finely copped or even pureed veg in with it

its a complete meal.

I always freeze some carrot puree separate then when re-heated mix it with

the mince, veg and rice and it acts as a gravy (for those who can tolerate

carrots) - gives it a nice sweet taste. You don't need too uch carrot. I

put it in large ice cube trays and 2 or 3 is plenty.
