Guest guest
Besides what you are doing, if you have some extra money, I would add homeopathy to your regimine. Everyone I know that uses it with a practitioner that is an expert doctor of homeopathy has success with it. One of the wonderful things about it is that it is so easy to administer. Either you give your child tiny, sweet homeopathy pellets or a couple of liquid drops that typically taste like water. Unknowingly, I started homeopathy with my kids when they were teething. My friends told me that " teething tablets " worked great, so I gave them to both my kids. Now I know they are homeopathic rememdies. I started going to Dr. Luc de Schepper last month after a couple of my friends went to him and he helped their children. I am seeing improvement with my son. He will be speaking at the TACA meeting next month if you want to learn more. My son had strep, and I eliminated it with a rife machine. I prefer to use herbs, enzymes and supplements, but my son's strep was very stubborn so I used the rife with someone who has ten years experience using them. I continue with basic supplements that Dana recommends, but I don't overload my son. I just do whatever seems to be working, like Dana does. If I don't see it working after a while and I don't see him getting worse after I remove it then I remove it from our daily regimine. Carol > > Has anyone heard of PANDAS? Dr. Neubrander thinks my son has it, along with PDD. Dr. Neubrander just sent me his protocol. It is overwhelming. I know that we don't have to do it all, and I want to help my son. But how much can one little person put up with. He is g/c free, which basically means he doesn't get to eat anything good. He is on so many supplements, which means he never gets to drink anyhting without it tasting terrible. We have started the b-12 shots. He gets 30 hours a week of ABA, one hour of OT, one hour of FT etc. I just feel sorry for our kids. When do they just get to be..............????????????? Guest guest
Kim, I can remember thinking a year and a half ago ... that my daughter and son would never again be able to enjoy anything they ate. It seemed so overwhelming to have sooo many things thrown at you at once. However, it simply was not true. My children enjoy more treats now than they ever did before. In time you can find a rhytmn and a pace to make things taste good again. You learn how to work with the different flours .... You learn to make special treats. My children have a whole arsenal of treats now that they love. And the best thing about it is ... they no longer get ill from eating them ... sure they miss snicker bars from the store at times ..... but then we come home and make homemade fudge and their sorrow is gone ... Or they look at someone else's cookie and momentarily feel sad ... all up until we get out the mixer and make homemade fresh cookies. Don't get discouraged. Focus on what your child can have and learn to use those things to make food taste good. If you are looking for a particular treat ... you should post what you want to know how to make. I have learned there are alot of great cooks on this board that helped me immeasurably in how to cook again. Melinda > > Has anyone heard of PANDAS? Guest guest
Kim, I also meant to mention that my daughter has been under the care of a DAN doctor for PANDAS induced tourettes for a year now. She is soooo much happier now because her tics are nearly all gone. What is left of them now seems more like an annoying " nervous " movement. She no longer gets the constant harrasment from folks to " stop it! " It is worth it all ... and she is becommming more and more a normal kid. Melinda > > > > Has anyone heard of PANDAS?
