It's a widely used antioxidant that is derived from pine bark extract

from a tree that grows along the Southwest coast of France. In

addition to being an antioxidant, it is also an anti-inflammatory and

helps improve circulation by increasing nitric acid in the

endothelium of blood vessels.

Dana,

Pycnogenol is trademarked. It all comes from the one manufacturer.

Evryone just re-packages it and sells it under a brand name. So, any

brand you get is fine--it is v expensive generraly, but the most

expensive ones are the same as the somewhat less expensive ones. We

use the NOW brand.

D

PS: It is not from grapeseed extract, but a maritime pine bark

extract from a specific region in France.

Thanks. We use NOW brand for almost everything else. So, I will check into it

for the Pycnocgenol. My boys definately need help with focus/attention. What

is a good dosage for 37 pound children?

Thanks, Dana

We use the Pycnogenol from www.holisticheal.com

<http://www.holisticheal.com/> along with the Grapeseed Extract. Brand

does matter to us. We use the ones with the highest quality ingredients and

the least fillers.

I actually bought a case of liquid pycnogenol from a company called

Pi Pharma. We have not seen any amazing results and I was going to

contact the mfr. to see if I could send the other 6 bottles back. I

would be happy to have other moms offload them from me, if you want.

You can just pay what did at wholesale. I would have to look up the

invoice. Sue
