you might want to consider OLE. Its a good anti-viral.

advice on how to handle this. He is sulfur sensitive and is sensitive to

phenols. Like Defelice describes in her book-he becomes cuddle and very

social with a spiked fever... which makes me think there is a viral issue we

have hardly dealt with.

Hi

I don't know if the virus for strep-ocd is any different... but my daughter had

strep all the way through her gut lining and we had to put her on two rounds of

metranidazole (antibiotics). Ten days on, then ten days off and then ten days

on again. Since then she is on probiotics morning and evening and her behavior

not to mention her bowel movements have improved. She now sleeps through the

night and her head spinning has also got much less.

My son has PANDAS (strep antibodies gone crazy) and OLE (olive leave extract)

has worked really well for us to calm that viral overactivity. It's kinda stinky

even if you're swallowing the capsule. Inositol has worked well too for OCD

behaviors. We are on a prophylatic antibiotic constantly and that's bringing the

titers down too. We like GABA and salt baths for calming. We totally work on the

gut too because we deal with yeast/clostridia.

Strep is a bacteria. OLE worked here to eliminate strep.

I read at some point that Virastop may help with bacteria issues, but it is

usually used for virus issues. Your child might have both strep and virus

issues.

Monolaurin helps with viruses, not sure about bacteria. It caused so much yeast

overgrowth here that I eventually had to remove it and use something else for

viruses. So watch for that.

Then yes, you may be dealing with both strep bacteria and viruses.

There were several things here that caused OCD for my son, including viruses.

So just because your child is OCD, does not necessarily mean he has a strep

issue.

We don't have viral issues, however monolaurin has been good for us.  The only

issue we have (no pill swallowing) is the taste.  It's 1/4 tsp capsule (big)

and it tastes like ivory soap, ugh.  We have to mix it in nut butter to mask

the taste.  The fruit sauces don't mask it well.  Our guy is also sulfur

sensitive.  We do homeopathic 200k sulfur and it is amazing the difference it

makes in the meltdowns for us.  Our NP said that our guy apparently needs help

with the sulfation cycle (meaning sulfur) not the methylation cycle (meaning

b12)  For the phenol issue we give him No-Fenol powder..  Works well and helps

him sleep thru the night.  We do the monolaurin and No-Fenol twice a day with

bfst and dinner.  Hope this helps
