Guest guest
Hi: Though I've not used the pads I've tried to find out as much as I can on the Internet about them and these pads do sound interesting. Yes, they are very expensive, the cheapest I've found is $30 + shipping for 10 pads, and you use 2 per night. From what I can find out, Kinotakara and Shu Li are the same thing. The main ingredient comes from the bark of a tree found primarily in Asia and it is processed into a vinegar and this process does create wood alcohol. When I discovered this I was turned off by the pads because wood alcohol is a poison and anything applied to the soles of the feet permeates through the body. An ancient folk remedy is to apply mashed garlic to the soles of the feet for illness, particularly colds. (Don't apply directly, have gauze or flannel between the garlic and the skin.) Within 20 minutes of application, the garlic can be smelled on the person's breath. There are lots of positive testimonials regarding Shu Li pads but most of them indicate that it is a long term process and that gets very expensive. Jay wrote: Hi, I have used the foot detox pads. The ones I used were called Kinotakara pads. They are Horrendously expensive to be using every night. They did turn all brown/grey by the next morning. I had trouble getting them to stay on my feet as I toss and turn a LOT in the night. So I wore sox over them. I dont know what they do exactly, but it was interesting. I was trying to figure out how someone would make them turn dark if they DONT really work. I mean, if they were trying to scam us, what would they put in them that would cause them to turn dark so that we would think they were detoxing us? The literature said they have a 'wood alcohol' in them. It appears they are crystals of some sort contained in the white pad. The crystals shift around inside the pad. The directions were kind of hard to understand as they were written in english translated from japanese, kinda like trying to read the instructions on some of the other things I have gotten from asia, funny syntax. Also, my feet were sticky after removing the pads. It was interesting though. Gold
Guest guest
Hi: Forgot to mention that the Shu Li pads I've seen advertised also contain chitosan. This is a popular weight reduction compound of crushed/ground sea animal shell (crab, lobster, etc.) that is more commonly taken in pill form and is supposed to bind with ingested fat to pass through the body untouched. These pads are also being advertised as a weight loss item. Jay
Guest guest
I presume that this is for QXCI?? If so then Alistair Bourne in NZ is developing some for the QX based on a conductive rubber, similar to the 8x12" pet/large area/baby pad attachment. He is currently testing these out. Guest guest
Hi : Can't answer your question but I have companion query: My research so far indicates that, regardless of source, the content appears to be the same - I have read about 70 testimonials, many of which are unbelievable - I have used them 12 times so far, but have not had before and after content analysis made - has anyone in this group experienced any recognizable PERSONAL detoxification benefit or had them before and after analyzed? All input appreciated. Guest guest
I finally got my food pads. Some inexpensive ones in the Sunday newspaper. Anyway, put them on both boys and myself Thursday night. They basically all looked pretty disgusting and smelled gross. Anyway, now today, I have either a sore or a planters wart, really sore to walk on this morning, right where the pads were on one foot. Ideas, thoughts, any one else experience this problem? Thanks Tammy
Guest guest
I had a wart prior to using foot pads. It was gone and healed up before I used them. I had used DuoFilm on it. Of course midway through treatment I heard that this kind of treatment leaves the root and the wart may keep coming back... Anyway, after using the foot pads, the spot around where the wart had been, got hard and was painful to walk on. I took 500 mg lysine three times a day and stopped using the foot pads. After about 10 days the hard spot was gone. I have used the foot pads again without a problem. Hope this helps. > > > > > I finally got my food pads.
