Guest guest
This started about 3 days ago. We were doing all the Houstons enzymes- ZP,Pep,NP. My ds has eczema so I was using the ezymes for that PLUS I gave him a dose of the GSE to treat yeast. I was including the NP to treat yeast as well. I suspect he has a yeast issue. Anyway, he was on all 3 enzymes plus the GSE (1 time) for about 2 days before the symptoms started. He started out complaining of mild tummy ache. This progressed to a very bad headache and fever. The headache is pretty much gone but he is still having these bouts of very low abdominal pain that sends him runnung, crying, and holding his belly for a few minutes. Yesterday, he started having some diareha (sp) and this has continued. I also have him on Culturelle. I started him on that after the pain started. I have stopped everything today other than some elderberry syrup and mild childrens probiotic. I don't know if this is a stomach bug or is this yeast die off? Or possibly food poisoning? I would have thought if it were food poisoning, the nasty poops would have started sooner. Could this be yeast die off? Or did he not have enough for this to have treated the yeast? I would have kept going if hehad not started with these symptoms. On a side note, his skin is looking better. He still has a good appetite etc. I wonder if i should try the charcoal.I did take him to the doctor and she thought it was just a bug of sorts. Thanks, Sandy

Use biotin or something else for maintenance. Dana

I had only done that a few days. Then I gave the GSE one time and forgot to give it again before these symptoms started. His stool looks like it's full of mucus. He is getting better today I think. I bought and gave hime some charcoal this morning. This is really scarry! How do you give biotin to a 4yo? Thanks, Sandy

If he had no yeast, or if he did not tolerate the GSE, yes it could have caused this problem. I really was giving the NP as sort of a gentle yeast > fighter. I had only done that a few days. Usually yeast coming out, sometimes intolerance. > How do you give biotin to a 4yo? It comes as REALLY tiny capsules, so you can actually use it to teach him to swallow capsules http://www.danasview.net/capsules.htm Dana
