Guest guest
The rash is now turning bluish purple. They only eat the same foods. The only thing I can think of is red flavored koolaid instead of the normal orange. I switched back to the orange today.Has anyone seen this before? Thanks April danasview <danasview@...> wrote: > > My girls have red dry skin behind their knees. Does this mean anything? I am new to all this. I have read a few parents indicating that meant food intolerance for their kids. Dana --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Search. Guest guest
Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone ever experienced this with their child. My 19 month old baby ( partially vaxed) has developed a rash on the face after a low grade fever and a bad cold. He has been cranky, not eating as much, watery eyes, runny nose and cough. I brought him to the doctor about 4 days ago and she said he just had a head cold (he didn't have fever or rash then). It definately doesn't look like 5th disease because he already had that or roseola. It is a red blotchy spotty kind of rash started on cheeks now around the mouth(dark red). I will see how it looks tomorrow and take him back to the doctor if it is still there. Has anyone experienced this. He hasn't eaten anything different either. ________________________________
Guest guest
Fifth or slapped cheek disease is a parvovirus and roseola is a herpes (not cold sores). Read a few of Jim's posts again and you will find that the name given is irrelevant. What can a dr give you for a " viral " disease? Nothing. Bacterial? Only antibiotics to kill the bugs that are there to clean up the body. Just give plenty of fluids - fresh juice, not store bought, and water and breast milk if you are still nursing. Don't force solid food. Plenty of rest.. Guest guest
Thanks so much. I agree if it is viral (which I am pretty sure it is), the Doctor won't be able to do much. I do not nurse anymore, but I will have to start using our juicer! Thanks so much for your response. ________________________________ From: Maracuja <howdurdago@...> Vaccinations Sent: Monday, January 5, 2009 1:05:04 AM Subject: Re: Re: strange rash Fifth or slapped cheek disease is a parvovirus and roseola is a herpes (not cold sores).
