Guest guest
Listmates, I have a question about which enzyme to use for my son. He is 7-1/2, mostly recovered and no longer on the gfcf diet (off for 2 years now). We did use enzymes for several years for general gut issues, used NoFenol for awhile due to yeast, and used several (Peptizyde, Kirkman and Enzymedica products) for occasional infractions. Then we stopped the diet with no real problems. I always felt that gluten was not an issue for him, but that casein was. Since going off the diet, he has self-limited off casein products, just doesn't like milk, yogurt, etc. so there hasn't been a real problem. My husband and I are both severely lactose intolerant, so we don't have those foods in the house as a rule.Lately, however, my husband and I think we do notice issues cropping up when he does get casein, like from an occasional piece of pizza, etc. So, what I am looking for is a product to use for occasinal casein use. He swallows capsules. Thinking of Tri-enza (other stuff in it couldn't hurt!) or the Enzyme Complete product. Looking for recommendations, also dosing for a child who weighs 65 pounds. Thanks..Kim
