I was wondering what test are available to test for vitamin levels? We had

our GI order a couple of blood test for Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, and

Calcium. The vitamin D and calcium were with in normal range and the B12

was high. Also, what are the implication of a high vitamin B12?

Thanks,

Aqil

If you are supplementing B12, then that is why it is high.

Otherwise, I would say that the B12 levels are high because the body is not

properly absorbing the B12, so it is just floating around. My son needed

carnitine, folic acid, and B2 for proper absorption of B12.
