Guest guest
My guy had chronic ear infections as a baby toddler. That to me is a big sign of gut issues from all the antibiotics. He was a very sweaty toddler, yeast in his privates no matter what I tried. Looking back more it was sound sensitivities, night terrors too, all yeast related of course. Any food intolerances, food allergies, asthma? I know a chiropractor family, they take enzymes and probiotics just for a daily good healthy life style. They can not hurt any one even if no health complaints. Good for you! Tammy how do you know if gut needs to be healed. Hi, It's me again. I am starting to drive my self nuts with thinking. I want to make sure I understand all of this starting with the basics. So, please, please correct me if I am wrong or missed anything. It is believed that something irritates the gut in ASD babies. The irritated gut leads to several other problesm, such as brain irritation. Which leads to ASD. One of the first things that needs to be done is to heal the gut with enzymes and diet change. But how do you know for sure the gut is irritated? Is there a test that can be done? Are there symptoms to look for? And besides switching to a GFCF diet and staying away from offending foods, which enzymes are needed to heal the gut? As I have said before, my son has sever seizures that caused huge delays in all areas. Many, but not all, kids with these seizures do develop ASD. We are unsure if my son actually has ASD or what we are seeing is caused by the brain damage done by the seizures. At this point we are questioning if we are headed down the right path by treating him like he has ASD. Thank you for your help.

Enzymes/diets can be a good start. My son's gut was not healed until the metals were removed with chelation. > But how do you know for sure the gut is irritated? Is there a test > that can be done? Seizures can be caused by foods, which usually has as an underlying cause, metal toxicity. Dana

Guest guest
had several ear infections. He always seemed to have fluid in his ears. He now has permanent ear tubes. Could that be a sign? Never had any problems in the diaper area. He is sensitive to sounds. We went with the family to the Rainforest Cafe, and he hated it. But, we were also at a parade and the fire trucks' sirens were going off and that didn't bother him. ?????? He loves looking at things that light up. He had the delayed allergy testing for 5 foods, and reacted to 4 of them. Gut issues??? Thank you for your help. He is such a puzzle, and I hate puzzles. > > My guy had chronic ear infections as a baby toddler. Guest guest
If the person has lots of allergies or food intolerances, that is generally a good sign. If food intolerance tests come back with tons of foods being a problem, or if nutrient tests come back saying the person is deficient in everything, those are good signs there is poor digestion and absorption across the board. If you have yeast or bacteria problems, leaky gut sort of goes along with that too. You can try giving a enzymes regularly for a month or two and see if it makes a difference. For healing the gut, it isn't so matter of one particular enzyme you take, but rather that you take a good quality therapeutic enzyme product regularly with food. With serious gut injury, starting with Lacto and then adding in a stronger protease product works very well. Or you can get a good quality broad-spectrum product such as Vital-zyme Complete, Maximum Complete, or Digest Gold and start gradually. Give it regularly to faciliate general healing. If you the a strong protease product (GlutenEase, Peptidase Complete, Peptizyde, ViraStop, etc), giving extra of those between meals will help with healing too. Gut healing can start immediately and allow between 3-6 months for significant improvement. If you don't see any indication of improvement by the 4-6 month, its time to reevaluate what you are doing. Adding in probiotic and zinc can speed healing too. . > It is believed that something irritates the gut in ASD babies. The > irritated gut leads to several other problesm, such as brain > irritation. Guest guest
Yes, I believe. We had tubes too. Was a god send to be done with the ear infections. We had the fluid all the time too. Sounds sensitivity was hit of miss for us. After winter, the lawnmowers started up, that would be a trigger. Potty training, the toilet. It changed, come and went. My PDD-NOS guy skin tested negative to the big. I don't think issues, who knows. But my nt 5 year old, major food allergies. It is one big mystery here to unravel! Tammy how do you know if gut needs to be healed. > > > > Hi, > It's me again.
