Guest guest
I have and you can find support for both sides of the issue. I agree that GMO is bad. It just seems to me that if phytoestrogens are bad, we shouldn't be giving our kids flax seed oil or multigrain bread, since these items contain more phytoestrogens than soy milk. It's hard to know who to believe. I found credible studies listed at UC Berkeley that support soy use as part of a healthy diet. In addition, dementia rates in Asian countries are less than that in other countries. I know they eat a lot of fermented soy and it's protein structure is different, but don't they eat a lot of tofu? Where I would be reluctant to give a soy-based formula to a baby because they drink so much in a day, I'm not sure that 4 oz of soy milk poses much danger. Of course, that is just my opinion. It's very frustrating for anyone trying to make an informed decision regarding your child's diet; I did research just as you did and found support for both sides of the issue.
