Guest guest
Hi Listmates, I have been doing biomed on my son for 2 years with little progress. Biggest problem is my son seems intolerant of most of the supps I gave and he falls ill easily and then becomes even more intolerant of the supps. So these 2 years have been like start-stop, start-stop for me with little progress. Just recently I started doing antifungals on him and restarting on supplements again. But as soon as I add more supps (esp vit B's), he starts to show signs of distress with a lot of aggitation, temper tantrums, spaciness, unable to focus, increased verbal stims and other stims, unresponsive. So a week ago I decided to stop most of the supps and then he became relaxed, happy with little stim and performing much, much better at therapy class, no more teeth grinding. The only supps he was on before I stopped this time round were zinc, Magnesium citrate, Vitamin B6, P5P, Biotin, MB12 shots, Methylfolate, various probiotics, transfer factor, taurine. A wek ago I stopped everything except zinc, probiotics, transfer factor and antifungal medicine with occasional charcoal - and he began to feel and perform so much better. Despite that his OAT and other tests shows that he still has a lot of deficiencies - like VitB6, folic acid, B12, selenium, Vit D, Vit E. I am really puzzled - so does that mean I will never be able to upload him with all the supps that he needs? Any input would be hugely appreciated. Guest guest
have you tried smaller does of the B vitamins? maybe 1/4 the recommended dose when you try again? Or after you eliminate all the supps, introduce only 1 supp per week and see how it goes. re-introduce the Bs the last as they are energizing. Is your sone autistic? Does he follow a sugar free, dairy free and grain free diet? don't give up. hang in there. carmen ________________________________ From: emilynk.chan <emilynk.chan@...> candidiasis Sent: Thu, October 29, 2009 5:27:33 AM Subject: HELP - how to continue with biomed? Guest guest
- I was told (by a ND) not too long ago that my son (also autism) could not handle any supplements until I worked on his kidneys. So maybe look at organ support for a bit and then try other supplements down the road. Guest guest
You could also try Nano Stess B, a highly absorbable B complex vitamin. -- HELP - how to continue with biomed? Guest guest
Just to share a bit about the natural way our bodies work. Vitamins by nature are synthesized in the intestines by the microorganisms that, in a healthy gut, create them from the food we eat. That is why in todays industrial society taking B vitamins are so stimulating. Most people in this society are so void of microorganisms it is amazing! These microorganisms are also responsible for natural toxin chelation, protein creation, amino acid recognition, immunity and more. That is why I use and recognize the paramount importance of these little creatures!!! Guest guest
Hi Jane, Thank you for your input. Actually now I am minded to go down the nautropath route also. My son's naturopath says my son has kidney and adrenal problems and she has given him so naturopath/ homeopathic stuff to deal with that. Hope these will help. Ever since taking him off most DAN supps, he is much happier, calmer and more engaging and relaxed. Makes me wonder whether pushing all those supps down his throat in the past 2 years hurt him at all.....
