Yes Deb I have tried them. I took them because they are multi strain & high

potency. I did not notice anything dramatic when I took them. They are very

expensive because they are such high potency. What did you want them to help you

with?

custom probiotics

Wondering if anyone has ever used Custom Probiotic, if so what did you

think? I have never found a probiotic that has helped me. Wanted to

try these, but they are very expensive.

THanks

Deb

I've been using them for about 6 months now. Honestly, it's probably less

than a dozen patients, but they all seem to have done well. One

particularly was a bad case of stomach " burning and cramping " that occurred

on a daily basis from 2pm on. He is an older gentleman. Anyway, started

him on 1 of the 50 billion cfu mix 3 times per day with a tsp of slippery

elm bark powder mixed in a cup of hot water, and he was feeling much better

within a week.

Have been using Custom Probitocs, 100-150 billion daily to treat fungus around

my eyes, ears and face caused by MMS for 4 months.  It seems to help but it is

inadequate to control my fungus problems (I also use herbal antifunal, iodine,

ozonated water, and on a strict on sugar, no starchy diet.).

Yes. We just use half the capsule two times a day. You can also have one made

with exactly what you want.

That will probably be more expensive. We had no bad reaction with the CP-1.

The formula is called D-Lactate free probiotic formula for autistic

children. Harry sends a baby spoon and a big spoon. Start giving a

baby spoonful and work up to a big spoonful. This product has been

great for my son and he never did well on other probiotics. :o)

I would keep trying. It could be die off or even something else bothering her.

The strains

in it are all safe, so it wont hurt to try to go a few more days. She may be

reacting because

she really needs it. Are you giving it away from foods? We give ours right

before bed on an

empty stomache.

My dd is getting aggressive and impulsive on the Custom Probotics. I

am giving 1/2 capsule in the morning. Do some kids just not tolerate

this or should I just cut way back on the dose, and keep trying it?

Yes, I give it on an empty stomache. Last night she feel asleep at

2AM. <sigh> This stuff really helps her during the day but at night

she startst to get violent. It happens with a lot of stuff I try...

melatonin, cod liver oil etc.... She has never slept even at the

beginning of all this, but when I put her on certain supp/meds... she

not only has insomnia but she starts to attack me, break mirrors on

the walls etc...

She keeps begging me to make it stop. She said her brain is on fire!

The one thing that has worked with no side effects like this is

Diflucan and Biotin. Perhaps I will keep giving really small doses in

the AM (on am empty stomach) and work up, because I do see good

results from this stuff. It's just at night, some supplements/meds.

make her go nuts. I can't figure out why during the day she looks

pretty good but at night this stuff just makes her crazy.

I remember you saying that the CP really helped her. So, it seems maybe

reasonable to wonder, if since the CP showed no problem at first and you

haven't' increased the dose, maybe there is something else. I know some

have kids who don't do well on probiotics, but usually it appears sooner

than this. I'm assuming you haven't added the adrenal cortex or taurine

yet, right/ Have you ever kept a food diary for her where you could

note what she ate and reactions by date and time?

As for dose timing, if she is having her problem at night, maybe do her

dosing in the am. We don't us CP, but use same strains in Natural

Factors. The directions there say to dose in the morning before the

meal. Had you been giving CP at night when you first noted good

results? Brain on fire sounds like mercury moving maybe, or even yeast

there. The CP shouldn't be causing yeast or making mercury move. I'm

also curious whether brain on fire might be her way of saying migraine?

Some of the mercury moving food items I can think of right off hand -

cilantro (in a lot of foods) and chlorella. We avoid both of those as

they will just move mercury around to no avail except cause problems.

I'm sure someone else will have a better list. You are keeping her away

from seafood I hope, since that is known to be mercury contaminated.

You might find that this is an exposure thing, and not necessarily a

supplement thing. I'm curious is her nights are any better at all when

you are chelating.

Just something that might help, or it might not. There were several

supplements that caused my son to " act strange " at nighttime. I

figured out it was when they wore off. So I started dosing them in

the evening also, and that worked for some. For others, he did not

tolerate them, and during the day it was difficult to notice the

effect, but when they started wearing off, he was " spacy " or " stimmy " .

And then when they entirely wore off, he was much better.

Hi,

I would like to try Custom Probiotics on my 10 year old.

I visited their website but I am unsure which one to choose. Appreciate any

feedback and suggestions.

We had tried several other probiotics previously but no improvement shown. We

had tried Culturelle, Probiogold, Superprobiogold, GNC, Flora, Nature Farm etc.

Hi,

I need a multi-strain probiotic without inulin and starch

for my son. I'm using CP1 from Custom Probiotics but I don't

know whether it helps, maybe I should try something else.

Is Custom Probiotics a good brand? Is it safe (no bad bacteria)?

Another one I found is Kirkman's Pro-Bio Inulin Free Hypoallergenic.

It has a smaller capsule size, but less bacteria in it.

I hope someone can help me.

Hannah.
