>I am working on getting him off milk completely and on soy. He seems

to be intolerant to milk, and his acid reflux has gotten very bad. We

tried rice milk but he hated it so I'd rather do something that won't

be so drastic for him as he LOVES his milk.

The way I weaned my boys off dairy milk was as suggested by our dietitian at

the time. She said to do it over a several week period - I seem to recall

it took about 3 weeks for us. You just use your normal milk and add in a

small quantity of the rice milk (or whatever milk you're wanting to change

to) - might only be a teaspoon initially. Over the following weeks, you

VERY slowly increase the amount of rice milk while decreasing the amount of

dairy milk. I also used water in this process so that we ended up with the

boys having half water, half rice milk instead of " full strength " dairy

milk.

Good luck, :-)
