I'm exclusively breastfeeding my 6 week old who has had yeast issues since week

2. It started as thrush & is now diaper rash & a face rash. I don't see any

more thrush in his mouth. I've been through yeast issues with my older children

but not this early. He's also spitting up & not gaining well despite my having

eliminated many allergens from my diet. I was gluten free my whole pregnancy.

So far I'm taking probiotics, giving him probiotics (but I'd be interested in

brand recommendations). What about enzymes? Would they pass through my

breastmilk? I've been taking Repair for my own health issues.

Enzymes will probably not pass through your breastmilk, but they will properly

break down what you eat, which would be beneficial to your baby. Have you tried

genecian violet? You need to treat both of you for yeast. Probiotics may not

be enough if the yeast has a good hold, you may need diflucan for you and

nystatin for the baby.
