Guest guest
My children have had this illness this winter. They have kept their cough for over 2 months now, and it is the old " whooing " kind of cough. It has gotten much better, but will probably only go away when warm weather arrives. We do not do antibiotics, so I have not have them cultured. Many, many of their friends have also had it this winter. Miriam From: lvchefmel@... It became apparent that 2 of my kids might have pertussis and was looking to post on autism/mercury board. From what I can gather I have either been banned (no idea why?) or the group disbanded...totally confused. I know this is the enzyme group but I know a lot of you were on both. And if anyone is up on pertussis please, I have to quickly figure out what I should do. My kids are 4 and 6...and until today I was under impression that they had a chest cold. Both have been to dr twice and are on second round of antibiotics for bronchitis/suspected pneumonia(4yr old only with pnue) They are getting better but cough is lingering with periodic fits of coughing. Dr says he is seeing it all over the place, knows they are unvaxed and didn't seem phased. My dad has been doing research and when you look at it it does seem like a possibility. We have a 1 day old baby in the family now (cousin) so we are worried about all of them. Thank you so much for any advice, it is most welcome!! _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live™: Discover 10 secrets about the new Windows Live. http://windowslive.com/connect/post/jamiethomson.spaces.live.com-Blog-cns!550F68\ 1DAD532637!7540.entry?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_t2_ugc_post_022009

Guest guest
The lingering nature could very well be that, they were given a course of abx, first for my 4 yr old and 2nd for my 6 yr old...will start that protocol tonight, thanks!
