Here's a list of special education websites with and w/o aids or books.

Remember that amazon.com and other online bookstores has a multitude of books

and possibley electronic aids for education and training of the dev. dis. child.

One of the other items is now in a monthly giveaway for registering..I'm sure

it's to enrich their online contacts too but they are a very legitimate group

too. There are 2 sites entwined, the Mayer- special eductional site which

is connected with DynaVox -the electronic board..called augmentive devices but

not the kind of augmentation that was in such controversey of holding up the

special needs person's arms while they 'supposedly' type messages not slamming,

just explaining. You will need to go to both sites to fully understand their

programs and devices. Here's an excerpt from the latest info e-mail adv they

and the DTTrainer that is based on ABA, has many legitimate special edu.

teachers/professionals on staff to help add to and expand their programs.

( This is the one currently being used for my grandosn and Mother-the teacher-

seems to be well peased with it).

The Activity trainer is a secondary program so go to thei site to see full

descriptions of their programs. They are purchased in package Bundles. They do

have online supports. ).
