American rice found dangerous for people and animals.

The sanitary doctors in the Kuznetsk coal basin, Kemerovo Region, found

2,000 tonnes of free rice sent from the United States dangerous for people

and animals.

" An all-round investigation of the humanitarian assistance brought from the

United States to the mining city of Anzhero-Sudzhensk last year showed that

the rice was infected with a fungus and was not suitable for food, " chief

regional sanitary doctor Nina Slepukhina said here on Wednesday.

When the rice was offered as fodder for cattle, the veterinary service found

it equally dangerous for animals as well.
