Guest guest
Hi folks, This was the first weekend we added ala into a dmsa capsule for my 13.5 y/o very hf son . We have been chelating since 12/18/08. Well, what I needed to do every time I gave a dose was to IMMEDIATELY set the oven timer for 3 hours. That way I wouldn't forget, and if he heard it he would remind me, etc. Well, here comes the very proud mama moment! After the 9pm dose I set the timer for 3 hours, which would be midnight. I went to bed about 10:30, and he was still up watching tv with his dad. This would have been our last dose for the weekend. Well, I just asked him to take a cpa with gse and ole in it. He says, " Oh, I took that pill last night when the timer went off. I knew you were asleep and wouldn't wake up so I took it. " WHAT??? I just can't tell you how proud I am of him (and mad at myself because I thought for sure I'd be up). I have been giving him 25 mg of dmsa, and I started the ala at approx the same doseage (eyeballing fourths of a 100 mg ala split up). So far so good.. no odd behaviors from yeast or anything. I just wish I added ala sooner, but I was scared to! Thanks for all out there that have helped me (us) with this crappy, crappy journey, I can't wait to get my mouth all fixed so I can clean myself up too! Again, thanks for " listening " since you folks are the only ones who " get it! "
