Guest guest
Hi Karishma, My periods started becoming very irregular as I began prednisone and doc said that this drug often brings on early menopause. I was having hot flashes and night sweats (3 showers a day) for about 6 months before my diagnosis AIH. I'm 45 and now since my total hysterectomy,I'm in full blown menopause and require HRT's...I think, however, that I may switch to the over the counter "estrovent" that is primarily soy. Other herbals have been blamed for missed periods, but I can't remember which ones now (gotta ask my self-educated herbalist mom -- she hates me taking the Imuran and Pred -- so do I. One day my mom asked my GI what would happen if I just stopped taking them.....he said he had a patient do that...and then he said "she died". I've heard that there is a Dr. Ni (or Nee) that specializes in Los Angeles who has cured liver dysfunctions herbally. I will send his name to you when it arrives from my friend in Costa Mesa. The body is a wonderful machine that tries its hardest to maintain homeostasis (balance) and we have to trust our practitioners explicitly if they want to prescribe western or herbal medicines. God bless you...and good luck,
Guest guest
Hi all I have a 4 year old daughter who has ASD. She suffers with consitpation and gets one red ear (left) on probably a daily basis, she also has quite a nasal sounding voice. She has been on a CF diet for over a year and she almost certainly has problems degiesting gluten. She currently takes 1/2 tsp Mindlinx, 1/4 tsp Super NuThera, one sachet of EyeQ fish oil (creamy) daily and one TriEnza capsule opened into a fromage frais before meals. Do any of you have any ideas why she may still be having constipation and red ear issues or any suggestions as to other products to try instead? Also do any of you know of a cause for a nasal voice (other than maybe sinus problems)?
Guest guest
a sub mucous cleft palate can cause a nasally voice and often goes undetected for years. -Undiagnosed Asperger's Syndrome Stay at home mom to 3, Wife to -6-6-02-Autism Spectrum, the light of my life Katy-11-19-03-undiagnosed genetic syndrome that includes cleft palate-Pierre Robin Sequence, scoliosis, heart defects, short stature, low muscle tone, developmental delay, oral defensiveness, g tube fed part time-working on oral feeding, slightly dysmorphic features, and my joy J.D-no issues except he is totally in love with mommy, cutest baby in the world visit my blog http://busiestmommyinamerica.blogspot.com " If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart! Guest guest
How would it be tested for? I took my son to an ENT and he said everything looked okay (other than fluid in ears). He was having trouble with articulation and has always had a nasal voice. > > a sub mucous cleft palate can cause a nasally voice and often goes undetected for years. > > -Undiagnosed Asperger's Syndrome > Stay at home mom to 3, Wife to > -6-6-02-Autism Spectrum, the light of my life > Katy-11-19-03-undiagnosed genetic syndrome that includes cleft palate-Pierre Robin Sequence, scoliosis, heart defects, short stature, low muscle tone, developmental delay, oral defensiveness, g tube fed part time-working on oral feeding, slightly dysmorphic features, and my joy > J.D-no issues except he is totally in love with mommy, cutest baby in the world > visit my blog http://busiestmommyinamerica.blogspot.com > " If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart! Guest guest
You might try specifically asking about a sub mucous cleft. An ENT should be the one to ask about this. Katy had a very obvious cleft, but if the cleft is covered with surface skin it can go undetected. It causes a nasally voice because air escapes into the nasal cavity with speech production.
