Guest guest
We've been using raw milk for many years. If a child has an allergy, then any milk is out, but an intolerance is often a different story. Raw milk is way safer than pasteurized milk. I would never drink or give my child pasteurized or homogenized milk. Pasteurized milk putrifies, but raw milk just goes sour. Big difference. Pasteurization kills off the enzymes and probiotic bacteria in raw milk that give it natural protection. Most organic raw dairies are way cleaner than commercial dairies. We've used both raw cow and goat's milk and my daughter does great on them. Guest guest
Supposedly dairies that produce raw milk tend to have cows that produce the A1 form of beta-casein, which doesn't break down into the opioid form the way the A2 form does (the A2 form is dominant now but is actually a mutation). I've heard some people say it works for their kids and some say it doesn't. I've gotten my hands on some raw goat milk and am going to kefir it first and try it that way- that seems the most likely to work (that or properly made SCD yogurt, which breaks down the lactose and casein). If you haven't looked into the A1 vs A2 milk thing it's worth googling. If lactose is the problem, you should be able to make cheese from the raw milk that would work. For us it's the lactose and the casein so we'll see... -Sierra http://grainfreefoodie.blogspot.com/ > > > Hello group-members, > > > > I was wondering if anyone has tried using raw milk and seen > > improvements from regular pasteurized milk. Guest guest
Hi Anjana, I wasn't sure if this is what you meant but if you and your kids are just trying to digest the dairy in milk, Enzymedica's Lacto has been helpful to many families. When taken with meals that contain lactose, you are providing your body with the enzymes needed for proper digestion not only of lactose but dairy protein, fats and carbs. Feel free to ask me any questions, hope this helps!
