Guest guest
yeah I agree no soy! for many reasons soy is not allowed, after months of drinking soy milk I actually realised it made me feel bad-digestive problems. ________________________________ From: " daisytiff228@... Guest guest
My son has been GF/CF and egg-free since he was 2 1/2 years old. We have been vigilant in watching his diet and he has done very well. He repeated 2nd grade but is now performing at grade level and is much improved. He recently turned 10 and we had told him that he would be able to try milk and see if he was still allergic to it at that time. Well he was counting the minutes until his first sip of milk. It was love at first drink. First, let me start by saying that I am a vegetarian and buy only animal based products which are organic and free of antibiotics for my children. Well my son has been solidly drinking milk for over 3 weeks now with no apparent ill effects at all. Infact, he has always struggled with encoporesis since the age of 4 and we dealt with it daily until the day after he started consuming milk. He has not had one (even mild) accident and his stools are formed and consistent. He has always suffered with diarrhea as well. I am truly stumped. I can't help but think that the milk is helping his digestive system. As far as his behavior, it is exactly the same and trust me I'm watching him like a hawk. Since that went well we started him on a small amount of gluten this last week and still no bad effects. Is it possible that children outgrow these allergies or after a certain amount of time, the gut heals itself? He is over the moon that he is able to eat other things besides he usual staples. Has anyone had any experience with this? I would appreciate any input. Thank you -
