Guest guest
Hi all I am worried. I just gave my son his b12 shot, our usual routine for the last 7 months. He gets them 2x a week. Just now, one minute after giving it to him he started to yell " mom my bum is on fire! " Literally that is what he said. I looked at his behind and saw that it started to become really red. I never saw this before. I put cold compress on it to help with the burning sensation and he seems better. I have a question. I missed 2 dosages during his last chelation round, so I still had some in the fridge. BUT, these have a quick expiry date. Stupid me, thinking that they are still good, I gave him a total of 2 expired ones dated Dec 2, one Monday and one just now. Have I done harm to him? Could this be the reason why my son reacted to the shot just now? I always keep them refrigerated so I am hoping that they were still ok even tho the date was past due....I could smack myself, I feel like cr_ _! Help and thanks! Guest guest
I'm sure it's okay, Heleni. Maybe you accidently put it too shallow. My son's shots make a red mark sometimes and sting for about a minute. Someone told me shots from different pharmacies either sting or don't. I would try calling the Great Plains Lab because they seem to be on top of things and might be able to give you a good answer about the expiration. It is water soluble so my thought is that it just wouldn't be as effective and the body would promptly get rid of what wasn't used. > > > > > Hi all > I am worried.
