Guest guest
Hi, My computer was hacked on Sunday, March 13th. Apparently people from my address book were sent an email that I was recommending a drug company web site selling cheap medications. Of course, I was not recommending it. Hopefully, most people had their spam filters catch it and they didn't even see the message. If you went to that web site and experienced any problems from it, let me know. I have been informed that changing one's passwords and security questions frequently helps avoid this type of problem. And be particularly wary of general sounding emails without any really personal content, even if they come from someone you know. Check with the person who appeared to send it before going to the web site. Someone told me they have received two similar emails from other people in the last 9 months, so this may be a growing problem and I thought I should let you know about what I have learned about it to help protect your own computer. Sincerely, Joyce Waterhouse, Ph.D.
