I can't help with this as I'm in Oz and our brands are local.

You could try on-line through the Pfeiffer organisation as they would

be very careful about additives:

It looks like they sell Pro-Thera and Metabolic Maintan brands, so

you could compare prices on-line through www.nextag.com for those.

Here is a good website about the methyl pathway:

/homovmsm.htm>

I'm not sure if high levels = under- or over-methylation but you

might be able to find a website that tells you. All I have written in

my notes from the PFeiffer GP are that DS8's levels were a problems

and that he's an undermethylator.

You could email hriptc.org/ to ask this question too.

>Ayone have any experience with SAM-e - good or bad?

We had an excellent response to SAMe, almost miraculous! However the

GP said that he only uses it as an indicator to tell which part of

the methylation pathway is problematic. SAMe isn't a cure. It worked

for DS so now he's moved onto the " undermethylating Primer " which is

a blend of vitamins and minerals, including B6, magnesium, manganese,

Vit C etc. This is supposed to be a long term cure for the problem or

at least a step in that direction.

Don't use SAMe if your child is an overmethylator though; it could

really exacerbate his problems.

Good luck!
