Guest guest Posted December 27, 2009 Report Share Posted December 27, 2009 My 12 year old son has pale skin, off and on, his chest and legs and arms you can almost see his purple veins through the skin. I finally found exactly what it looks like " livido reticularis " (see google images). Of course pediatrician said it's normal, but I think if his head fell off, he would say it's normal too. I've heard that it can be related to oxalate dumps, but wondering if it is some sort of vascular issue. My son's face was pale all through the summer, and all of a sudden it went away, still trying to figure that one out.
