Guest guest
I started my ds on Houston's AFP Pep and ZymePrime January 8th, so not quite a month. We do not do the GFCF diet, though I have pulled back considerably on the gluten and casein. I have put him on enzymes on my own, no testing or doctors have been involved. I wanted to try enzymes to see if gluten or casein was a problem. So my questions. How do you decide if to continue enzymes or not? Or should I seek out a doctor/DAN to help at this point? I'll explain what I think I have seen: My first grader was diagnosed Asperger's a couple of years ago, very high functioning. His issues have mostly to do with social interactions and attention/focus. I *think* we have seen improvement, but I'm really not sure. I feel like I am looking too hard for changes and it has clouded my judgement. His eye contact may be a little better. He seems to be focusing on his homework more independently and with less of a battle. Is this the enzymes? About a week ago he seemed a bit more restless and frustrated than usual. I started epsom salt baths, which seem to have helped. Again, was this reaction probably the enzymes or maybe he was just having a bad day? And my son says he feels good on the enzymes. He also seems less gassy, which is a good thing. Is what I am seeing a result of enzymes? Will continuing the enzymes produce more results with time? I am just feeling like I am shooting in the dark here. Would like any advice that you guys may have. Thanks! Sara
