I just thought i'd share my experience with my 9 year old and getting her to

swallow capsules very quickly. I recently started her on powdered enzymes (AFP

Peptizyde) mixed with applesauce since I want to heal her leaky gut in the hopes

that in the future she might be able to eat gluten/dairy again, and also not

react everytime she has food dyes or MSG etc with behavior problems. While she

did fine with the powdered enzymes, even though they taste and smell like vomit

(!), it is just a pain for ME to always have to mix it up before breakfast etc.

So I bought Enzymatic's " Pearls " probiotics as they are TINY and round. She was

able to swallow these fairly easily within the first couple tries. Then, I

bought Dr. Mercola's Kid's Krill caps, and these are also very small, just a bit

bigger than the Pearls, but in a capsule shape. She did fine with those. Last

night we were out to dinner and i had my GlutenEase caps with me, and just asked

her if she wanted to try to swallow one...and boom, she did it! YEah! This was

all within about 10 days. So now we have more options with supplements, i'm so

excited!

Hope this helps someone...I didn't know how to add it to the files section on

getting kids to swallow pills, so just thought i'd write it as a post.

Another is tic tacs, if not allergic of course.

My ped also recommended tootsie rolls. Cut up and roll into the size and

practice with them.
