Guest guest
I was hoping someone could help with this question. My son's food allergy panel came back and he showed a sensitivity to grapefruit. I give him GSE to control yeast. Does this mean that I need to not give this supplement anymore? Also, he is sensitive to oranges. Does this mean things like orange juice are out and the fish oil with oil of orange essence is out? Thanks in advance for any assistance. I imagine that since he shows sensitivity to baker's yeast, most breads are out and sugar is out because it promotes yeast. If anyone can clarify this for me it would be great. Thanks again,
Guest guest
Not sure what you did, we did IGg and had to cut it all, oranges where one and we can not give the clo with orange flavour ( natural) without a reaction. also, it was first explained to us that because it was a sensitivity that it was ok in small doses if we didn't see a reaction but it was later explained that just because we didn't see a reaction doesn't mean it wasn't doing harm. Theory is " bottle necking " if our bodies don't digest them properly the it will all add up and cause more harm. What helped us was looking to see if the majority was oxalate, phenolic, sulphur. you can google food lists for those. Good luck to you > > > > I was hoping someone could help with this question. Guest guest
We did the IgG RAST through Alletess. There was a huge list of foods and then there were the ones that were in red which I assume are the ones to stay away from. I have stopped the GSE and did not even bother with the CLO because of the lemon flavor. I gave him the fish oil even though it has a lemon taste because I am so scared not to supplement him. Another question, I used to mix the fish oil and buffered C powder in the orange juice because it helped to mask the nasty taste for my little one. He has a sensitivity to oranges so does anyone have another juice that I may mix this with. Thanks in advance, ________________________________ From: k.ozbo <k.ozbo@...> Sent: Tuesday, September 1, 2009 6:56:48 AM Subject: Re: Food allergy panel Hi I'm not sure that I can help, but what kind of allergy test did you have. I.E. Rast, IGE, , etc. Being sensitive suggests more of a food intolerance rather than an allergy, which is usually quite different.
