Guest guest
We just got our test results back from Great Plains, including OAT and yeast sensitivity. All 3 of us have high arabinose (ASD ds at 210, me at 190, and NT ds at 100) which I thought was a sign of candida. The yeast culture showed no yeast for either kid, and very little for me. It seems that arabinose is a controversial issue, and that some people think that it doesn't come from yeast but could be a sign of poor carbohydrate digestion. This would make sense as both boys had very high arsenic in their hair, and I am reading that a common result of arsenic at their levels is enzyme suppression (as well as abdominal pain, and kidney and liver damage). NT ds is extremely sensitive to phenols so he has enzyme issues as well. I am so confused! BTW, ASD ds gets peptizyde (no phenol didn't seem to do anything for him, and I am wanting to re-introduce zyme prime), and NT ds gets no phenol (which doesn't seem to do much anymore). Does anyone know more about arabinose and what it means? Also, has anyone had success chelating arsenic? Dh read that folic acid can help with this, has anyone tried that? Lastly, could the fact that their bodies are holding on to arsenic be a sign of some deeper problem that needs to be addressed? Thanks in advance! -Sierra
