Guest guest
Hello everyone, I havent posted in a long time , but i am at a loss with a problem my daughter is having, she is 4 and ASD , recently she has been crying alot , especially at night when it's time to go to bed, and this can go on up to an hour and we were then having a hard time getting her up in the morning for school, anyways the Dev. Ped. suggested Melatonin because of the ADD characteristics (the go go go mode) that come with ASD , she was having a hard time with the transistion of falling asleep. So we started the Melatonin and .5 mg about 1 week ago, since then she goes to sleep fairly easily but tends to wake up around 3 or 4 for about an hour every night. So what i am wondering is , is this common? Should i up the dose? Any experiences with this would be helpful! Thanks so much! -Lucinda
