Guest guest
Smoking, Count me in as an X smoker. I quit about 9 years ago now. ) I deceided to take charge of my body and not to be ruled by an addiction..cigarrettes. I was sitting there with a cold, coughing away and SMOKING. Sound familiar? Then it hit me...boy was this foolish..and here I am sick. So I dumped the cigarrettes into the toilet and flushed. End of smoking. Now when I am near anyone who does smoke still..(of which there aren't very many around here} I can smell the tobacco odor all over them and their clothes. No longer will I go around smelling like a dirty ashtray. I won the battle, and it still feels good. Guest guest
Joanne, As the days go by the urge seems to fade. Little by little, that is. It is soooo hard to stop. Whenever I get stressed out the urge doubles. I have two small children and a husband that is rarely around so I have my share. Just like you I have a cold and figured I feel like crap anyway so why not do it now. I hope I stick with it. 7 days.....I'm still counting Joan Claffey JJCATHCART@... wrote: > > > Smoking, Count me in as an X smoker. Guest guest
Joan, I hope you are able to do it. My mom smoked for over 50 years and never wanted to quit. One day, her doctor yelled at her for smoking. She quit that day, and never started again. When I asked her why she'd quit after all those years, she said that never once had a doctor told her to quit. She struggled with the urges, but her stubbornness got her through those times. I hope you can too. Guest guest
My experience in Florida supports the statement of Jim White regarding mold and other coating of " dusts " inside a wall where their presence must generally be inferred.. Where HVAC systems are often inadvertantly and unintentionally connected to the interstitial wall spaces by leaks in the ductwork, the interstitial wall spaces are often and regularly flushed of such airborne materials which then enter into the breathing zone and/or HVAC supply airstream. This flushing continuously and typically occurs each and every time that the HVAC air handler is in operation. We suspect that vibration (such as traffic) may serve as a loosening engine to cause such material to become airborne within the wall cavities. Certainly the hammering of building renovation could do so. Our experience indicates that we are able to isolate such " dusts " , radon, and injected insecticides from the HVAC airstream by using an " Above Slab Air Pressure Differential Barrier " approach which relies on enhanced mechanical barriers and the use of air pressure differentials as low as 0.5 pascals in order to prevent the uptake of such " dusts " and other undesirables by the HVAC system operation. We suspect that in some cases, such an approach may make a building that is experiencing high airborne contamination of " dusts " useable without extensive destruction and replacement of materials. We find that it works very effectively in radon reduction in appropriately constructed housing. Similarly, we expect that it may work well with " dusts. " Of course, the exhaust of such ASAPDB air mover will likely contain much higher levels of " dusts " and other undesirables, and therefore it must be discharged in accordance with reason and logic. We have developed some very quickly installable mechanical systems which have proven to be economical (1-3 watts) in operation as well as highly effective. Guest guest
Okay, I have gotten alot of suggestions and I thank you so much. Here are some of the ideas that I got. Let me first tell you that I am looking for something catchy as I am looking to start a direct sales business with my line of products. I have had a great response from my customers and one of them suggested that I start a home party line and that is the avenue that I am now looking into but I just can't figure out a name that I like and want to stick with. Here are the names that I have thought of so far: Seawindz bath and body Celestial Scents My Country Garden thanks, can't wait to see what you all come up with. grohloff@... wrote: In a message dated 9/16/2003 10:00:52 AM Mountain Daylight Time, writes: > Subject: Need help with a name > > Hello to all.
