Does anyone know of any doctors in New England who helps to sort

through all this stuff? My son is 9 with high functioning asd and

gastrointestinal problems, food aversion, food sensitivities, and

tics/seizures that just started when we went off of the SCD diet due

to not enough caloric intake because is becoming sensitive to

everything he eats. Has had an upper endoscopy and has inflammation,

bumps, ulcers and flattened villi. Doctors at Children's hospital

have not said too much...I'm waiting a month between each appointment

and don't know when it will be pulled together if ever. Looking into

Celiac, Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis, and going to be seeing a

genetisist for a possible Mitochondrial disorder? He is very high

functioning and doesn't appear as autistic as he was when he was

little but food issues and gi problems continue. I wonder if we are

going to get anywhere at Children's. I am discouraged right now.

One thing I know is that when we tried an amino acid based elemental

formula to get his calorie intake up he went bonkers and developed

eye tics that look like possible petit mal siezures, they stopped

when we stopped the formula but are starting up again...probably

because he is eating tapioca/rice bread which is not SCD compliant.

I have never looked into finding a DAN doctor but I am feeling that

he needs one. Sorry so long...needed to talk...
