Guest guest
I found my notes from Dr. Yasko. I had asked if AKG was a form of glutamate. Her response: " I am not a believer in the use of glutamine or AKG as it can end up as glutamate in the system. Alpha KG plus ammonia makes glutamate. Also glutamine can break down into glutamate plus more ammonia. So with ammonia around I am not crazy about using either AKG or glutamine. Glutamate and glutamic acid are basically the same molecule, the only difference is the pH and if it is in the acidic form or not. " Also, Dr. Houston says NoFenol helps with ammonia problems.
