Guest guest
Hi there, My daughter is 17 months old and has a pancreatic insufficiency, of which we do not know the cause. She also can't tolerate dairy, goats milk, soy, or meat, has acid reflux, and chronic tonsillitis. I never feel like her stool is " normal " and I'm not sure what it should be like on enzymes. She was very constipated until recently and now her stools are soft and much lighter in color. I'm not sure if this means the enzymes are finally working, or if they aren't doing their job and we need to switch. She is currently on natural enzymes because we were not having luck with Zen Pep or Creon. I know most kids with PI don't have constipation, but the opposite. What should stools look like though...should they be like a normal child's? Sorry for the TMI to follow...hers are chunky, partially undigested food like oranges and tomatoes, hard dark pieces followed by very pale soft that almost has thread like pieces of food in addition to the chunks. Wow, that is some first post! Glad to have found this board. Thanks, Paige www.tinystrinkets.com
