Evaluation for child with Autism label

Hello,

My son has turned 5 and is age eligible for Kindergarten coming fall. He has

Autism label in the school system (LCPS). He is currently in ECSE Autism class.

Since he has Autism label, school said that he doesn't need any evaluations as

of now.

So my questions are:

1. Can I request for an evaluation, if so what evaluations can I request?

2. Will this new evaluation change his current Autism label?

3. Will this new evaluation change his services or resources?

4. What are the benefits of this new evaluation?

If you could share your input in this regard, that would be great.
