Guest guest
>>Now I have him on nystatin again and probiotics because he is urinating alot and putting his hand down his pants all the time. The nystatin and probiotics seem to have done nothing for any of these problems. Nystatin is not effective against all strains of yeast, and it sounds like your child has a yeast issue. Try adding GSE or biotin or OoO or something else for yeast. > He is: > Waving hand in front of eyes > Pulling at private parts > pinching people > urinating alot (and smelled like ammonia you get out of a bottle)!!! > doesn't want to play with anything > not interested in anything except perseverative behaviors > he is eating okay though and more at dinner now. These sound yeast related. >>Also wondering if he has oxalate problems and is having penis pain and that is why he is pulling at it so much. Yeast overgrowth at my house. >>This problem seems to come and go. Wondering if using Oil of oregano along with the nystatin would be the way to go. I would definitely try that. > Do these behaviors sound like yeast or bacteria? Yeast Dana

I have added the OoO. 1 drop so far mixed in juice and syringed to him. Is this enough? Also, Should I be giving it with no-fenol since it is Phenolic? I just ordered the No-Fenol today. I read it contains cellulose and MCT oil now. Is the MCT oil a new addition- I don't remember it before? Will there be problems with this? Or is it so small an amount that it won't matter? How should I give the no-fenol? I was just going to either syringe it with water or put it in his morning juice. And how much should I give. I am just re-starting this bio-med stuff again because he has regressed so much after being taken off the Diflucan. The No-fenol will help with yeast too. I am thinking after I recieve the No-fenol that we could try the GSE again too. But GSE is more for Yeast than Bacteria? Does Mag-sulfate cream help with phenols? Does it help with sensory issues? I can't seem to give epsom salts baths right now because he drinks the water. I know there was a page that described how to make a cream but I don't know where to find it. But then I worry because people have said this makes their kids have wetting themselves issues. I also wanted to know about Mycelized vitamin A because: All my son seems to want to do is stand in front of my nightstand by the window and wave his hand. This is so scary to me because he spends too much time doing it. And he does this by lamps too. And little streams of sunlight that come in the windows. He seems to have a lot of light sensitivity to sunlight outside too and doesn't seem to want to play outside until darker out. So, I tried the Mycelized vitamin A with him last night and he seemed to get a stuffy nose right away - maybe coincidence or maybe does it cause yeast? I thought maybe the vitamin A would help with eye stims. But he seemed to just wake up with a stuffy nose and possibly a headache (didn't want his shirt pulled over his head). And the eye stims seemed maybe even worse. Is vitamin A a phenol? Thanks for any information I am frightened because of the regression. It may just be too many phenols and time for no-fenol again. Thanks again, Wanda

Not at my house. Is it helping your child's yeast problem? If not, try adding more. >>Also, Should I be giving it with no-fenol since it is Phenolic? If your child has issues with phenols, yes. > I just ordered the No-Fenol today. I read it contains cellulose and MCT oil now. Is the MCT oil a new addition- I don't remember it before? That sounds like the SCD version of No-Fenol. There is also a rice-bran version, without those ingredients. >>How should I give the no-fenol? I was just going to either syringe it with water or put it in his morning juice. Whichever one works. >>And how much should I give. Start with 1/4 capsule, work up from there if required. > The No-fenol will help with yeast too. Yes, if you give it on an empty stomach. >>I am thinking after I recieve the No-fenol that we could try the GSE again too. But GSE is more for Yeast than Bacteria? Yes > Does Mag-sulfate cream help with phenols? Does it help with sensory issues? It can. >>I can't seem to give epsom salts baths right now because he drinks the water. This won't be a problem unless it is causing diarrhea because of the increased magnesium. >>I know there was a page that described how to make a cream but I don't know where to find it. Yeast die off can cause wetting accidents. > I also wanted to know about Mycelized vitamin A because: > All my son seems to want to do is stand in front of my nightstand by the window and wave his hand. Several things caused this issue at my house, including yeast, and including measles virus [which I eliminated with high dose vitamin A]. > So, I tried the Mycelized vitamin A with him last night and he seemed to get a stuffy nose right away - maybe coincidence or maybe does it cause yeast? It can, because most viral die off causes yeast. >> I thought maybe the vitamin A would help with eye stims. For some kids, all they need it vitamin A to eliminate the visual stims. For other kids, including my son, lots more than vitamin A is required. > But he seemed to just wake up with a stuffy nose and possibly a headache (didn't want his shirt pulled over his head). Guest guest
When my son pulled on his private parts years ago, and had several of the issues you wrote about, it meant we needed to double the enzymes, rotate the GSE and OoO and keep up the Epsom salt baths with a little baking soda in the mix. We limited the sugar and gave 3-5 Culturelle 3 times a day. Usually took 2 weeks to get things under control. We went through this a couple of times. The timing sounds about right, coming off antibiotics. OOO - will it help bladder problems- yeast and bacteria? Hi, my son is 6 and weighs about 42lbs. He was on antibiotics for sinus infection 2 months ago along with nystatin (unfortunately to low of a dose I think). He did okay on this and the sinus infection did clear up. Then he got athletes foot (probably from going to the indoor pool with grandma) so, he went on diflucan and nizoral cream and the athlete's foot went away. The day after going off the diflucan he had stuffy nose again (that has since gone away). Now I have him on nystatin again and probiotics because he is urinating alot and putting his hand down his pants all the time. The nystatin and probiotics seem to have done nothing for any of these problems. He is: Waving hand in front of eyes Pulling at private parts pinching people urinating alot (and smelled like ammonia you get out of a bottle)!!! doesn't want to play with anything not interested in anything except perseverative behaviors he is eating okay though and more at dinner now. Wondering if maybe it is bacteria we are dealing with. I want to get a urine sample to the doctor but collecting it is always so difficult. He is 6 and not potty trained (this makes me feel like a bad mother because I can't get him to use the potty and he has no interest in it). Also wondering if he has oxalate problems and is having penis pain and that is why he is pulling at it so much. This problem seems to come and go. Wondering if using Oil of oregano along with the nystatin would be the way to go. The nystatin is a weeks worth I guess. I have used OOO with him before and there hasn't been any real bad reaction. I no it is phenolic but maybe the benefits outweigh that. I don't have any no-phenol to give with it and we aren't doing enzymes right now. He is also on liquid Trileptal seizure med to help his strange brain waves although he doesn't have real seizures. Since it is a liquid and not time released would No-Phenol affect his medicine in any way? Do these behaviors sound like yeast or bacteria? Really no way to tell? Should I just try OOO? I think I read it has no med interactions- is this true? I have used it last week when I got bronchitis (I don't tolerate any antibiotics) and it did help so that the bronchitis only lasted like a day or two. I just have a cough now. I take a lot of meds and it didn't seem to bother me. This is long because I have been out of the loop for a little while. It got to be too much bio-med stuff for us to deal with. Very expensive. So, I am just doing what I can with what we can afford right now. I will try to get a urine sample from him and take it to the doctor's office. If it comes up with nothing- then probably yeast related? If it comes up with something should I do antibiotics or tell the doctor I want to try OOO? Thanks for any advice- I want my kid back the way he was a couple months ago. He was doing so well- Stupid sinus infection! Wanda
