It does not matter whether or not you give it with food. I would

start the CLO with the equivalent of approx 2500 IU vitamin A per day.

Hi, I always give fish oil following a meal. You may have to observe

behavior and test out a few different fish oils (containing different

ratios of EPA/DHA) to see which one is the best fit for your child.

Hi Dana,

I was wondering if it takes some getting used to because I started my son on

Nordic Naturals Arctic Cod liver oil. I give him 1/2 tsp. a day to start out

with but

about an hour after he takes it he gets fussy, whiney, easily set off then goes

away after awhile. This is the third day he is on it and dont know if I should

continue or discontinue.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated THANKS!

Hi Dana

Thanks for your advise. What does the vitamin A do?I have ordered some

Nordic Arctic Cold Liver Oil:-

Each teaspoon provides:

DHA: 700 mg

Vitamin A: 875-1950 IU

EPA: 450 mg

Vitamin D: 5-40 IU

Other Omega-3: 250 mg

Vitamin E: 8 IU

Total Omega 3: 1400mg per dose

Should i still add in a separate vitamin A?

My son required mito cocktail and preloading before he tolerated EFAs

Another thing to consider, is that if it contains tocopherol, then it

probably contains soy, and can cause problems for kids who don't

tolerate soy.

Helps with language, visual stims, and certain viruses.

Depends on how much A you want to give.
