Guest guest
Have you had your childs element/mineral's tested? Thinking about trying " brainchild nutritionals " INPUT PLEASE Dear friends: Please, before I spend 100 dollars on this Brainchild nutritional supplement, what is the general opinion? Has anyone try it?, I already tried the Super Nuthera form Kirkman, but the taste is horrible and my son does not tolerate it very well. Thanks Fabricia. ------------ --------- --------- --- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now.
Guest guest
They have samples that you can try to see if the taste is ok. We just started it a few weeks ago. With the holidays we are not consistent enough to see if it is working. Both of my kids have a problem with the flavor, but they are at the point where I can tell them to take it and they do. I no longer have to look for tricks to get it down. It is so much easier. Tama mom of 4 C-ACC Josh NF1
Guest guest
I use mostly powdered forms of vitamins/minerals and some liquid. I just mix it in the food.juice and he never knows the difference. Maybe this would help? Guest guest
Fabricia - Just order the trial samples and try and see how it goes. That is what I did. My son won't swallow a capsule, just tries to chew. It is a nightmare. I put the liquid supplements in orange juice and I have no issues with him at all. And with all the good stuff in it, if I was to get him to swallow all that, well, you get the picture. Well worth the money for me. We are just starting out and battling issues with yeast, so no great stories to share here except all is well and no complaints from him taking them! Guest guest
Fabricia, We can't speak highly enough about Brainchild Nutritionals in this house. We saw amazing changes in our son and still continue to do so. A while ago, we needed to stop it for a while and we sure did see how much it was truly helping him. I couldn't get him back on it fast enough!! We haven't tried the super nu thera here, but the brainchild's taste needs to be disguised as it's not something you'd want to drink alone. We've had good luck getting it in him mixed with banana and pear juice and also strawberry juice seems to hide it as well. Every kid is different, but you never know what they'll like until you try - maybe try picking up a sample size bottle first. Hope this helps! I love the convenience. I put my daughters in juice and that way she will take it. No pill nightmare. I acutally put hers in the smallest dixie cup I can find and she takes in down in one swallow like a " shot glass " for lack of a better comparison. My daughter is more relaxed on the minerals formula and she is definitely talking more. I had people who did not know I was doing anything different say " You know Eleanor just seems to be doing better. " I am currently in the process of swapping from their regular vitamin formulat to their sensitive formula. I wasn't able to get her up to dosage on the vitamins. My daughter is so sensitive to so many things. She is sensitive to something in the vitamin formula but we are thinking that swapping to the sensitive formula will do the trick. I am still very pleased and working with them to get the formula and dosage right for my daughter. Guest guest
You might want to try their mini bottles before you invest $100.00. I did that and stopped for 1 day. My whole family qusetioned me what I went wrong with my son. So that convinced me to order the big bottles. Since I live in the bay area, I am going to pick them up. Guest guest
Hello, I am sorry for my ignorance but what other products do the " brainchild nutritionals products " are in comparison with? I am giving my son Super Nu Thera, Culturelle, and Afp Peptizyde. Would any of these products be an equivalent to " brainchild Nutritionals " ? I am finding very slow recovery with my son with what I am giving him presently for the last 6 weeks(perhaps I have to give it more time) and as a matter of fact his stimming is getting worse, whispering/talking to himself, rocks back and forth(not too much) and when I raise my voice at him, he always asks mommy are you upset, and he will ask me again and again and until he is 100% sure my answer satisfies him. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Guest guest
Fabricia If you email Terri Mykland at BrainChild (tmykland@...<mailto:tmykland@...>) with your specific situation, she will advise you of what exactly she thinks would be beneficial to your child. She will recommend what trials bottles to try prior to purchasing the large ones. I am waiting for my trials to be delivered tomorrow. From all I have read and heard, I can't wait to get my son started. Good Luck. Guest guest
Hi there, He is the love of my life. My life wouldn't be the same without him. He is the most amazing little boy and I am thankful that he is mine. I have come across many parents like in this group and others, that when they describe how the spectrum has affected their children, it often appears that there are other children affected in the same exact way, almost identical....so the theory about there are no two kids alike is maybe not true after all. For the stimming I am waiting for our results with our DAN! which will be given to us on the 15th of this month. Hopefully they will suggest something which can target this..... We search and search until we know we have done everything in our power to make them the healthiest they can ever be. They are so worth it! Guest guest
>>whispering/talking to himself, At my house, this was eliminated with mB12, TMG, folic acid, carnitine, anti-virals [vitamin C and lysine], and yeast control. >>when I raise my voice at him, he always asks mommy are you upset, and he will ask me again and again and until he is 100% sure my answer satisfies him. Same as above, especially lysine. Dana
