Hi all,

I would like to seek advice on what to look out for when choosing or giving

Omega 3 (fish oil) :

1) When giving Omega 3 (fish oil) , should it be more EPA or more DHA?

For ASD kids with Attention deficit, what is the best EPA vs DHA ratio ?

Is it 4 EPA : 1 DHA ?

2) When giving Omega 3 (fish oil), are there any upper limits on the amount of

EPA and DHA per day ?

Is giving 1626mg of EPA and 1126mg of DHA per day too much for a 11-year old

(45kg) kid ?

3) Do we need to give Vit E when giving Omega 3 ? How much to give ?

Is it dependent on how much EPA or how much DHA we give to decide how much Vit

E?

4) Is it a must to include Vit A and/or Vit D when giving Omega 3 (fish oil) ?

What is the purpose ?

5) What are the possible side effects of giving too much fish oil ? Hives ?

Itching skin ? Does it cause constipation ?
