Guest guest
Hi everyone, I'm Alli and I live in Christchurch New Zealand and have a 4 yr old son with autism and an 8yr old with dyspraxia. We have been on the GFCF diet for nearly 2 years and have gone soy free as well since November. The diet has tamed most of his autistic symptoms but his speech is still at a 2 yr old level. He does understand language and can follow simple instructions. I started autistic son on probiotic's about three weeks ago, there was a change in his behavior, thanks for the warning on that one. He has also started spending a lot of time draped over the arm of the couch upside down. He will even watch TV like this and try to eat upside down as well. Any ideas? Is this a normal reaction? His behavior has settled and we are hearing a few more words and they are clearer so will continue with the probiotics. How long do recomend we do this for? I would like to thank all of you in this group for being so open and helpful. I have learned so much just reading everyones news and views. Alli T.
