Some doctors are against anything OTC, simply because they don't know much about it. If you are using SSRI medication, you should use something else. > MB12 shots (every 2 days) > 5 HTP > Valtrex > Acetyl l Carnitine > Kavinace > enzymes (no phenol,ZP,AFP Pep) > CLO I don't know what is the Kavinace. Is the Valtrex hard on the liver? Dana
Guest guest
Dana, Kavinace is a GABA taurine combo (we call them happy pills). I wouldn't call 5 HTP an SSRI, would you? I think Valtrex is the same on the liver as any other Rx anti-viral.It can raise liver enzymes after long use I think - but ds has been on it for only 4 months. I think our DAN! said something about GSE causing bad gut bacteria? Our son had terrible die off from culturelle, so we know how to use charcoal if it happens again. He's started playing with his poop again an night waking and generally regressing, so I know it's yeast, maybe on the brain as well. Thanks for your help, Susi

Not to my knowledge. >>I think Valtrex is the same on the liver as any other Rx anti-viral.It can raise liver enzymes after long use I think - but ds has been on it for only 4 months. Four months can be sufficient to cause liver problems. Have you ever had his liver checked? > I think our DAN! said something about GSE causing bad gut bacteria? If there is no yeast present, GSE can do that. You can use OoO if you want. Dana
Guest guest
Yes, Valtrex is time release med and GSE is not so good to use with those types of meds. Can you use GSE with Valtrex? Hi, Our DAN! is against me using GSE - is it because my son is on Valtrex? Here are the supps he is on if anyone can see a reason why I shouldn't try it for stubborn yeast? MB12 shots (every 2 days) 5 HTP Valtrex Acetyl l Carnitine Kavinace enzymes (no phenol,ZP,AFP Pep) CLO I would really like to try GSE as we are having massive yeast problems that Diflucan didn't help.
