Guest guest
Oh, congrats to him!! And it sounds like the perfect job, hooray! Whew, that's one of the hurdles I hope gets by but that'll be later. He's leaving next week for college. I still have to get his laundry (wash winter stuff too) done and pack and finish buying stuff. (note that it's ME doing the laundry, packing...LOL) Really, does sound like it's a perfect job for him!! > > I have to BRAG! Guest guest
Tell your son congratulations!! OMG, I must have the recipe for the okra omelete. I love Okra. So does my mom. She used to grow it in her garden. She grew up in NC but moved to Philadelphia before I was born. Our neighbors thought we were weird. LOL. Miriam > > I have to BRAG! Guest guest
Ha, it is so easy, you saute okra sliced in 1/4 pieces with some onion until onion translucent. Then add the eggs and it is really good! When he was about nine years old, Southern Living Magazine did an issue featuring okra and he and I tried a bunch of the recipes and he made this one up, I made him a " crown " out of yellow fabric and wrote " okra king " in glitter! Made up our own festival! It was fun and seemed to have sparked something in him that maybe led to this culinary interest. I love okra though! Yes, those in the north may not understand, LOL!
