Guest guest
Hi everyone, my ASD son has broken out in a rash on his behind today. He has been acting a but strange lately- increased stimming (visual and verbal, and he usually isn't a stimmy guy), agitated and yells at people on a dime, as well as moody and clingy. I don't think he's actually sick (but maybe he is)? We recently began giving large doses of vitamin C (just got diagnosed with histadelia), so I am thinking it is biral die-off. His development has been great lately so I don't think he is having a negative reaction to anything. First, are kids contagious when they have a die-off rash? It doesn't seem like they would be, but before we go hang around with tons of kids tomorrow I wanted to double-check. How do you tell it's die-off and not just bei9ng sick? How do you tell what is dying off? His rash on his upper buttock (not diaper rash), but could it be a rash that normally appears on another part of the body? Thanks so much for any help!! -Sierra
