Guest guest
My son had extreme hyptonia of the trunk at that age. At two I was still helping him to learn to walk. He walked with a gait for several several years. He was afraid of anything unbalanced like playground bridges. Since then, I've discovered he is a mito kid, a viral kid, and recently Lyme. The one thing that helped my son tremendously with muscle & movement was aceytl-l-carnitine. My son runs up & down the stairs everyday now. I look at it in amazement. First time in 22 years of his life. It's like watching him take his first step everyday. He can also do push-ups. His muscle tone is still low so I put wrist weights on them for a little time each day. > > Hi All, > My some is taking many supplements, enzymes, amino acids, probiotics, > CLO, etc. He is on SCD diet. > > I have posted before that he has not been growing. Try adding carnitine. It helps both with growth and with muscle tone issues. Dana
Guest guest
Hi Dana, We have been giving 750mg L-carnitine/day for about 8 months with very minor improvement in strength. Do you think we should up the dose further? We have tried L-carn and Acetyl-L-carn. Thanks, From: danasview <danasview@...> Subject: Re: Muscle Tone Problems Date: Monday, February 16, 2009, 4:32 PM > I have posted before that he has not been growing. Do you think we should up the dose further? We have tried L-carn and Acetyl-L-carn. You can try increasing the dose. Or, try adding a multi-amino in addition to the carnitine.
