Guest guest
Hi everyone, I wanted to let you all know we have taken the next step in the study of treat spectrum disorders with Chinese medicine. My original plan of 3-4 kids went by the wayside when I saw the response and the study has now accepted 10 participants! Unfortunately some were not accepted, but even more exciting will be my ability to work with them on a private basis, so that we will be able to tailor the treatment more to their needs. Along those lines, I have been knee deep in research, and have also been scouting out the field of Chinese medicine in the treatment of spectrum disorders. I can only find two other practitioners who " specialize " in the treatment on ASD disorders. I contacted one of those and asked for a consult and was told even as a fellow colleague that a half hour consultation (just a consultation) would be $80.00. Yikes, in my world at least, this is not affordable, so I have come up with a sliding scale (just like I do in my regular practice) for herbal treatment. Initial Consult Charge (includes regular Monthly Consult Charge): $60 - $100 sliding scale Monthly Consult Charge: $30 - $60 sliding scale Monthly Herb Charges: varies approximately $20 - $80, NOT BY SLIDING SCALE Even though at times it is really hard to see my son's Autism as a gift, I think in a lot of ways it has been. I am honored to be part of such an incredible community, and I am even more honored to be a resource of help and to give back all the help that I have been given along this journey. If there is in anyway I can help you, please let me know. And keep your eyes open for results from the study within 4 months or so, although I am sure there will be talk of it along the way!
