Guest guest
They taste good and my son loved them when we were transitioning to the diet. They are expensive and I think you have to give like 3 per meal so we stopped using them and opted for the gluten free casein free diet instead. We want to try him again on enzymes, but this time I think we will go with the trienza or the digest gold, not sure which one yet. We are trying some other things right now and will try the enzymes in the next few months. -Undiagnosed Asperger's Syndrome Stay at home mom to 3, Wife to -6-6-02-Autism Spectrum, the light of my life Katy-11-19-03-undiagnosed genetic syndrome that includes cleft palate-Pierre Robin Sequence, scoliosis, heart defects, short stature, low muscle tone, developmental delay, oral defensiveness, g tube fed part time-working on oral feeding, slightly dysmorphic features, and my joy J.D-no issues except he is totally in love with mommy, cutest baby in the world visit my blog http://busiestmommyinamerica.blogspot.com " If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart! Guest guest
are they hard like a piece of hard candy? what about size - choking hazard size or smaller? the flavor sounds like something he would like. he easily takes the kirkman's chewable melatonin and enjoys it every night. i'm thinking the enzymes may be a hit if they aren't too large. thanks for the feedback jennie > > >>They taste fine, light orange flavour, not strong, they are hard not a > soft chewy type of thing, Ring Houston and they will send samples so you can see > how he goes with them before you buy > > _www.Houston-Enzymes.com_ (http://www.Houston-Enzymes.com) > > HTH > Mandi in UK > > >
Guest guest
They should send some samples for you to try. I thought they kind of tasted like smarties candies, or maybe more tart. Not bad at all. They get by my very, very, very picky 9 year old! Gurrrr...still won't swallow stuff!!!!!! Guest guest
About the size of a dime and are hard like chewable vitamins or sweet tarts, not like hard candy. ________________________________ From: Jennie Subject: Re: has anyone tried the houston nutraceuticals chewables? are they hard like a piece of hard candy? what about size - choking hazard size or smaller? Guest guest
Jennie, My son (3.9Yr Old Aspie) will not eat them, He gobbles down his flavored zinc. They they have a funny after taste in my opinion. Are hard like a Sweetart sugar candy, but a little bigger. Guest guest
my son took the chewables wtih no problem...the AFP tastes the worst; someone suggest to take it eihter first or last...i followed that and it worked. Houstons will willingly send you samples, just call and ask. Our school nurse prefers to open a trienza and mix it in a small amt of juice (vs the several chewables he needed in 3 containers). I supply small bottles of juice that she pours a small amt out of. She actually kept a empty bottle, washed it and sent it with his teacher for a field trip with the direction to open the capsel and mix into the juice. She is awesome, so is the teacher. Everyone was a bit concerned our son would not like to be singled out to go to the nurse before lunch...but it has not been a problem at all, just part of his routine. > From: Jennie <o2bfuzzy@...> > Subject: Re: has anyone tried the houston nutraceuticals chewables? > > Date: Monday, January 12, 2009, 4:25 PM > are they hard like a piece of hard candy? what about size - > choking > hazard size or smaller? > > the flavor sounds like something he would like. he easily > takes the > kirkman's chewable melatonin and enjoys it every night. > i'm thinking > the enzymes may be a hit if they aren't too large. > > thanks for the feedback > > jennie > > > > > >>They taste fine, light orange flavour, not > strong, they are hard > not a > > soft chewy type of thing, Ring Houston and they will > send samples so > you can see > > how he goes with them before you buy > > > > _www.Houston-Enzymes.com_ > (http://www.Houston-Enzymes.com) > > > > HTH > > Mandi in UK > > > > > >
