Guest guest
What brand of ACE do you use? Where do you buy it and what are the recommended doses? Did you see any significant changes in your child after using ACE? If so, do you mind sharing. You can email me offlist if you prefer that. Thanks. lie From: iam2l84t <mam78@...> Subject: [ ] Re: ADD Date: Wednesday, November 5, 2008, 11:40 AM > > I am doing a file review with ANdy. Guest guest
We use Allergy Research (Nutricology)Group adrenal cortex. We saw significant changes in both children and myself. I buy it from www.iherb.com or Vitacost, depending on costs. I use 1/4 cap a day for my 3-5 year old. He no longer needs it now that he's six, but took it for two years. I used 3-4 caps a day for my 13 year old, and I have used 1-3 caps a day, depending on need. We have been using it for the past 3 years. It calmed them, they slept better, there were no more anxiety, explosions, irritability, reduced wakings and trouble falling asleep, reduced sensitivity to light/sound/touch. I also add that for me, without it I get a tightness in my chest, feels hard to breath. If I can help further let me know.. > > > > I am doing a file review with ANdy. Guest guest
I use Nutricology Brand which is 250 mg caps. Thorne brand is also recommended here a lot, and it is in 50 mg doses. I take ACE and so do two of my kids. For the dosing, you can start low see how your child responds and increase from there if necessary. I started off dosing ACE pretty cautiously mostly because I wasn't sure how much was needed. I started giving my kids about 1/2 cap of Nutricology 2-3 times daily and saw a very subltle effect for my daughter (it seemed to calm her a bit) and a slightly more obvious effect on my NT son. But I came to see thanks to Andy that I greatly underestimated how much ACE my kids and myself need. My son now takes 5-7 caps daily and it is really, really helping his symptoms a lot. He has always been a very early riser, up at 6h00 (tests also showed that he had very elevated cortisol in the a.m.) and within 48 hrs of raising the ACE intake, he started sleeping in until 07h30. So I'm assuming that it's helping to regulate his daily cortisol rythms. He's been taking higher amounts for a few weeks now and he has much fewer sugar cravings (he is hypoglycemic) and his mood is so much better on average as well. Now for my daughter, it is also helping her too but since I raised her daily ACE intake at the same time as I started giving her low doses of HC, I can't tell really what's the HC & what's the ACE. But for her too, the adrenal support is making an obvious difference in her anxiety and how she handles stress. I also used to see an oil slick in her urine and I haven't seen it since she started the HC & higher ACE. Andy has told me that when in doubt with ACE, give more throughout the day. Guest guest
Hi (I think that was the original poster...); What is the question sheet you are referring to for ADD? Would you mind posting a link if you have one? Thanks, Kim
Guest guest
It is one that Andy mailed to me. I am doing a private consult with him. It is a check list for ADD. I guess it's OK to post it. Will someone let me know if they see a problem with this?
