My 22 yr old AS son did get his license about a year and a half ago...he does drive locally, but does not like to drive on the expressway. I honestly never thought he would get his license ;-) I've heard that AS kids can get their driver's license, but usually do not like to drive very often. You may need to wait till your daughter gets a bit older than 16...possibly 18-20...just a suggestion. Blessings, Gail

I am wondering about how Asperger's does with driving. I am asking as I plan on having take driver's ed.

took the driver's ed in high school. But after, he soon gave up on

driving with me (did get his permit), said he wasn't interested. I really don't

know why, I asked him if it's because I was too hard, emotional or something

LOL, because his twin was also practicing and he and I had a few " disagreements "

when he drove.

Anyway, he got his license at...19, about a month before he turned 20 (best I

can recall right now, my own memory has years blurring together...).
